Alex was drawn to marketing and SEO as a college student at Stony Brook University where he studied Business Management. He feels SEO is a great way to be creative because it makes you become an expert in whatever field of work your clients are in.
He moved up to become a full-time employee at Efferent after serving as an intern. Alex considers the promotion to be the biggest highlight of his career. He also brings a wealth of life experience to the job, having worked in a nursing home, served as an elevator installer and repairman and even spent time as a loss prevention officer at a major retail chain. He tells us that apprehending shoplifters is “pretty intense” and a feeling he’ll never forget.
Alex brings that intensity to Efferent where he specializes in optimizing local listings for our clients. He brings a strong will to our SEO team, saying, “Once I have my mind set on something it’s pretty hard to break my focus and more often than not I achieve my goal.”
A huge fan of hockey and the New York Islanders, Alex still dreams of taking the ice for the home team at the Barclay Center, and admits that he’s still waiting for that NHL contract. He also admits to being an unashamed fan of the pop band, One Direction. When he’s not watching hockey he enjoys running and spending time with his family and friends.
Most of all, Alex enjoys his time with his fiancé whom he credits with inspiring him to return to school and finishing his degree. He considers graduating and getting engaged to be his two biggest accomplishments.
