Dillon brings a strong business marketing background, a thirst for knowledge and a passion for cars to his position as Jr. SEO Specialist at Efferent Media.
A recent graduate of Baruch College, where he earned a degree in marketing management, Dillon came to Efferent because he felt it provided the best opportunities to learn about search engine optimization. He chose his career path because he has friends who are web developers and search engine marketers.
“Their success was an inspiration for me to do digital marketing rather than something along the more traditional route of someone with a marketing degree,” he says. Dillon believes that digital marketing also appeals to him because it allows him to present “noticeable and measurable improvements” to clients.
Prior to being brought on full time, Dillon interned at Efferent. He’s specialized in link building for clients and has also worked on page optimization as well as link and text optimization for our clients.
Dillon also brings a wealth of interests and passions to our team. He says he has an incredible thirst for knowledge and spends much of his free time reading information online or listening to podcasts and audiobooks.
A self-described “car nerd,” Dillon says he would love to some day be an automotive journalist. He reads a lot of articles and checks out hours of videos on the latest trends in the automotive industry.
He’s also pretty good behind the wheel. Dillon takes part in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Autocross events, which involve driving around an obstacle course on a makeshift racetrack. He plans on going to racing school one day to learn how to navigate a real road course.
Another ambition is to one day visit all 59 national parks in the US. Dillon likes to work hard and keep his schedule packed. “If I have a day off I feel weird and lazy,” he says.
