Possessing a passion for the visual medium, Paul brings depth, experience, creativity and a strong work ethic to his position as graphic designer at Efferent Media. It’s clear that he loves what he does, as he’s always been attracted to all things art: painting, sculpture, animation, and of course, web design.
Paul got his start as an artist at a very early age, learning and loving to draw even before he could remember. He turned that love into a career as a graphic designer, art director and web designer, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, 3D design and advertising from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
Through the years, Paul has lent his artistic fingerprint to a wide variety of Long Island-based bands, brands and companies as a freelancer. Prior to joining the Efferent Media team, he served as art director for DJUSA in Woodbury, where he worked for corporate clientele like Adidas, Experian, and Microsoft.
Paul has had his work featured in the Art Directors Club (ADC), a non-profit membership organization committed to connecting, educating and inspiring the global creative community. In 2013, he was chosen to paint decorative artwork on one of 88 pianos as part of a project sponsored by Sing For Hope, a non-profit that brings dynamic arts outreach programming to under-resourced communities throughout New York City. In 2015, his work at the Adobe Creative Jam in NYC earned him the Judges’ Choice Award for Best Graphic Design.
When Paul isn’t helping to bring the businesses of Efferent clients to life online, he continues to serve the greater Long Island music community by creating concert posters, album cover art, and other merchandise. Paul also helps to run the Long Island based clothing brand Mister Tallboy. Additionally, he enjoys recording his own music under the pseudonym Plutonium Lovecraft.
