As a college student studying marketing, Tim was instantly drawn to the way social media has grown into a tool to help promote businesses, build brands and engage diverse audiences quickly. In fact, it only took one class for Tim to become hooked on the marketing medium and how it constantly adapts to its users. It was then he chose to pursue a career in social media, which has led him to his current position as head of social media marketing at Efferent Media.
Prior to joining the Efferent team, Tim built his social media skill set at several firms, including D Pagan Communications and Full Scale Media. At each firm, he helped grow brand awareness across all social media platforms for clients in a variety of industries by creating innovative content based on client feedback and social analytics.
His content strategies continuously boosted brand engagement, social media presence and following on various platforms – in one case doubling a client’s social following and in another case helping a client reach 1.2 million followers.
Tim – who graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations and communications – brings his spark of creativity, outgoing nature, strong work ethic and honed social media marketing abilities to Efferent, where he works with the team to create content that actively converts and engages our clients’ audiences. His content encourages customers to share and interact with our clients on a daily basis.
When Tim is not helping to expand the social media presence of Efferent’s clients, you can also find him hanging out with his friends, running around with his pit bull Mac, watching Shark Week on the Discovery Channel or playing video games. He also competitively plays baseball and hockey, even dreaming as a kid to line up at center ice for the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
