Joe is the Sr. Social Media Strategist and Ad Buyer at Efferent Media. Growing up in the age of social media, Joe was always fascinated with anything and everything internet related. While attending Stony Brook University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing, he began to merge his love for the internet with his fascination for marketing. His favorite marketing subject was Consumer Behavior which has allowed him to flourish as he is able to understand the psychology behind the buyer journey including how and why consumers make purchasing decisions.
While at Stony Brook University, Joe worked with a team of other marketing students and the Stony Brook campus dining team to create and implement a self-ordering kiosk system. Through online surveying of the student body, he was able to figure out the desires, wants, and needs of a busy student while they try to eat between classes. The self-ordering kiosk system streamlined the process of ordering food as students can now spend more time on other important tasks like studying and staying healthy. This resulted in increased service speeds, improved time management for students, and a more effective way to accommodate students’ special dietary needs. This system is still in use on campus today.

Since graduating, Joe has become a digital marketing expert with over 9 years of experience at Efferent Media in a wide array of disciplines. He has held multiple positions at here over the past 9 years here including; starting out as an SEO Intern and working his way up the ladder to become a Community Manager, Social Media Manager, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist, and ultimately, became our Senior Social Media Strategist and Ad Buyer. Joe has a proven track record of helping clients improve their search engine rankings, increase website traffic, and generating sales for their business.
In his role, he works with clients to identify their competitive landscape and come up with a clear strategy for their business to drive sales. Joe enjoys honing in on advanced audience targeting based on online behaviors, interests, locations, remarketing, and more.
