Local Visibility Grader.

See where you rank in the towns you serve, how your Google Business Profile compares, and what is holding the map pack.

What does the local visibility grader check?

Three things: your map pack position across the towns you serve rather than a single average, how complete and correct your Google Business Profile is against the fields that actually move position, and your review profile against whoever currently holds the top three. The self-serve version is still in development. Until it ships, the full marketing audit covers the same ground and a person reads the result.

  • Per town. Not one blended ranking.
  • Profile fields. Category, services, attributes and questions.
  • Reviews. Volume, recency and whether anyone replies.

Why per town

A Single Ranking Number Hides the Answer.

Almost every visibility tool reports one position for one keyword. On Long Island that number is close to meaningless, because the map pack resets every few miles and you are in a different race in every town.

The useful output is a grid: where you appear, where you do not, and which of those gaps is cheap to close.

What it looks at

Four Inputs, One Grid.

Same inputs a manual audit uses, run automatically.

01 / 04

  1. 01

    Position by town

Sampled across the service area rather than from one point.

  2. 02

    Profile completeness

Against the fields that actually move position, not against a generic checklist.

    Primary category is checked first

  3. 03

    Review profile

Volume, recency, response rate, and the same for whoever is currently in the top three.

  4. 04

    Citation consistency

Name, address and phone across the directories that still carry weight.

FAQ

Questions We Hear Every Week

Straight answers. If something is not here, ask us on the audit call.

Is the grader available now?

Not yet. The self-serve version is in development. The full marketing audit covers the same ground today and a person reads it.

Why does map pack position differ by town?

Because proximity to the searcher is a real ranking factor. You are in a separate race in every town, which is why a single ranking number is not useful.

What is the fastest fix for poor local visibility?

Usually the primary category on the Google Business Profile, followed by filling in the service and product fields almost nobody completes.

Do I need to give you access to check this?

No. Everything the grader looks at is publicly visible.

How often should I check?

Quarterly is enough for most businesses, unless you are actively working on it or a competitor has just moved.
