Pest Control

Where Social Earns a Pest Company Money.

And, honestly, where it does not. Nobody follows an exterminator for fun.

Does social media work for a pest control company?

Yes, but almost never the way it is sold. Nobody chooses a pest control company because they enjoyed a post, and an organic following is not where this revenue comes from. What social genuinely does is three narrower jobs: it reminds existing customers a plan is due, it sells services people do not know to search for, and it makes a company look real to somebody who just got your name from a neighbour and is checking you out.

  • Renewal reminders. Cheapest revenue in the business, and the most often skipped.
  • Unsearched services. Mosquito and tick programs are sold, not searched for.
  • The credibility check. A dead page costs you the referral you already earned.

What to stop paying for

A Follower Count Is Not an Asset Here.

Growing an audience of people who do not currently have a pest problem is an expensive way to reach them at the moment they do. Search already solves that, better and cheaper.

The money in social for this category is almost entirely in reaching people whose details you already have, and in the three minutes a referral spends deciding whether you look like a real company. Both are small, cheap jobs with a clear return, and neither requires posting five times a week.

What we actually run

Four Uses, Ranked by What They Return.

Everything else in a social proposal for this category is decoration.

01 / 04

  1. 01

    Renewal and reactivation

Existing customers, matched from your list, reminded before the plan lapses. The cheapest revenue available to a pest company.

    Highest return, lowest effort

  2. 02

    Seasonal programs

Mosquito and tick work is sold in advance, to people who were not searching for it. This is the one thing social does that search cannot.

  3. 03

    Proof for the referral

Recent posts, real jobs, answered reviews. Not for reach, for the person already deciding.

  4. 04

    Hiring

Technicians are harder to find than customers in most markets, and local social is where they actually are.

Worth more than most owners expect

FAQ

Questions We Hear Every Week

Straight answers. If something is not here, ask us on the audit call.

How often should a pest control company post?

Less than you have been told. Enough that the page looks alive to somebody checking you out, which for most companies is weekly rather than daily.

Should I run ads on Facebook and Instagram?

For renewals, seasonal programs and hiring, yes. For competing with someone searching "exterminator near me" right now, no, search wins that and it is not close.

What about TikTok?

Pest content performs unusually well there as entertainment. Whether that reaches anybody who will hire you in your service area is a separate question, and usually the answer is no.

Do before and after photos work?

Yes, and they are the one genuinely good organic content this industry has. Check what you are showing: a nest removal is compelling, an infestation in somebody's bedroom is a privacy problem.

Can you manage this for us?

Yes, and for most pest companies we would rather run a small, sharp version of it than a content calendar that costs more than it returns.
